New Weight Loss Information
As you might guess, I have a l-o-n-g shelf of books on weight loss and food
planning. I am also very skeptical of anything that says it might be easy.
However, Julia Ross from Recovery Systems spoke this week about their huge
success with treating addictions of all kinds and I was hooked. I bought the
book (hmmm I wonder if they cure book addictions?)
Julia engaged us with stories of people's amazing responses to amino acids
(think of them as food for the brain). When I hear the words "amino acids"
my eyes start to glaze over (and I have a degree in biochemistry, so I can
imagine how it is for others)! But Julia's presentation was so straight
forward that I had to try it out. Her book tells about how to identify the
needed amino acid and the cool thing is -- you can tell right away if it
works!
From a simple questionnaire, I identified the two amino acids I need. They
were easy to get and inexpensive. In only a few minutes, I felt a definite
change in my sense of well-being. I can also say, that at least for the past
24 hours, my carbohydrate cravings have disappeared.
